a March day * in the garden

Today was a wonderful day in my garden; still a bit chilly but I didn’t waste all that great March sunshine!  It felt good to get out in the fresh air, smell the soil as I turned it over pulling weeds.  It’s amazing how a simple chore can relax and focus the mind.  And now my mind feels all energized and full of new ideas to try, chores that need tending, plants that I would love to have for this garden season.

Of course, after a day in the cold, my poor bod doesn’t feel QUITE the same! But I will employ my heating pad tonight, and feel good as new tomorrow, ready to head out and start on the next list of chores!

I wanted to find some pix from last year’s garden, since I haven’t taken any yet this year.  In sorting thru my pix from last year, I am once again reminded that spring WILL return.  I never tire of the regeneration that my garden goes thru each year, nor do I tire of browsing those photos taken in the garden of yesterday.

Here are those pix from last March’s garden, and soon I hope to have some new ones from this year to share with you.
